Megalith, just tel me that you don't go so far as to buy 2 figures because one has a rubber band holding the gun / lightsaber /whatever.. and another doesn't. I met a guy who must have had five variants of that nature ..two different rubber band placements..one without..and two paint
mix differences (barely percievable to the naked eye) [img]wink.gif[/img]

No way.

The ONLY reason that I ended up with the two different Han Solos is I had purchased the Blue Coat version from that company I no longer deal with. The Brown coat came from the case of figures that I picked up from another place that is helping me out with the sets this year. I had to buy the full set of the first wave to get the couple that I wanted remaining, and he was there.

I also have the wrong gloved Luke Throne Room Dual fro the same reason, but not due to me search for it.

I open then all, so seeing the packaging differences just doesn't matter to me. I have proably opened quite a few figures that others would have croaked over if they found out.

Good man! I've done the same thing..I love opening
the ones that you know some dude would scream over. I had to LMAO when I was dealing with this guy. He was telling me why I should buy all these
different Kit Fistos..I told him I was an opener [img]graemlins/devil.gif[/img] I thought he was going to mess the floor on the spot. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I have come across one or two of those as well - my discussion was over all the Luke Bespin figure from the SAGA series. LOL


I only have 4-5 figures that are on card and in protective cases, not for monitary value, but for display purposes. I like how the Silver figures look on card and keep one on card in a protect case, and antoher to open.

I also have a signed Shadows of the Empire Chewbacca (Pter Mayhew). Picked it up at a comic shop for $2.50. Didn't know it was signed until I started to rip it open and saw the signature [img]eek.gif[/img] I bought another one and opened it. Thought I might keep that one on card.

I saw two of them at a Suncoast one day, and then the following day both were gone...

I only have two unleashed figures... Darth Maul and Slave Leia... so I wasn't super interested in the clone trooper or I would have gotten it. I should have picked one up to help someone out, but I didn't know of anyone looking for one for certain... but at least they're out there... [img]wink.gif[/img]
